Hey My mobo has jsut about had it . i have a Abit AV8 and it take 15 tryes to load first time in the moring (thats not a overestimat ether) it hangs at differnt places, and some times doesnt detect IDE devices at all i've tryed diffrent GFX cards, taking my PCI/IDE devices out and unparing the RAM but to no avail, so i want a new one. any sugestion on a good one to get? i rember some one saying thay had AGP and PCI-E, that would be good as i dont want to pay another £200 onn a new GFX card. heres what it needs SKT939 2xSATA 4xIDE AGP 2xPCI 4xDIMM slots under £100 and would like more sata and PCI-E but thats not esental. thanks

Are you sure its the mobo?
Is there any point getting an AGP board, go for the new gfx and board and sell your old card.
Other than that I have no idea on boards, I allways just ask.

its either the Mobo or the CPU because it craches before it detects IDE/SATA and i have run memtest on my RAM for like 2-3 hours, i have also tryed it with just 1 stick of ram/ CPU and GFX and its the same. I would like a PCI-E GFX card but i have other thingst hats are more important like college, car insurance that need paying out, thats why i want one with both so i can get one when i have the cash. But if anyone has any sujections to save me £100 i'll happly try then

#1 Flash your bios with the latest version #2 If flashing it does't automatically do it, reset your bios.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

I can recommend the ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 its wining awards all over the place & I just cant get over the fact that it cost's £48 . I have an A64 3200+ ( Venice ) running at 2.7Ghz on stock cooling & the raid is fast very fast I benched the through put & it maxed the SATA bus at 150 Mbs with average through put of 122 Mbs . the rig runs cool & is on for like 10hrs a day with no issues. http://www.asrock.com/index_english.html The only two draw backs of this board if your an over clocker is the max RAM voltage ( this was not an issue for me with Ballistixs ram) & the CPU voltage which you can sort out with a minor physical mod if your that way inclined ( I did it after I installed the mobo while I had the PC open as I thought it would not harm to do it before I started to push the system ). It still over clocks well without the mod.
