Whats the best card to run on High in BF2

I run a 6800GT and can run everything on high no problem.

I have a 6600 and can run it on high aswell, sometimes a little slowdown and no aa/af.

It comes down to money i suppost and how much your willing to part for a card that gona be out of date next yearor so.

I too have a 6800gt and it still cost over £200

but it plays it on high no trouble. i get real nice dust from bullits that hit the ground.

I can play in 1280x1024 high detail too. I have an x850 XT, although I had the detail lower when I only had 1gb of ram to reduce the stuttering.

My 9600Xt is fine on med and i have 3BG Ram And 3,4GHz CPU

Dont really understand overclocking so if anyone knows about overclocking a ATI then please tell

Dont think any amount of overclocking will allow an 9600XT to run a modern game on high detail.

It was a decent card for its time, but its more like a budget card nowadays.

You need to be looking at the XT8xx and nVidia68xx range for a quality card.

I use a 7800GTX, I can run everything on high but I choose not too. I put everything on med. Putting everything on high can make loading times annoyingly long.

To be honest, I recommend leaving it on med, it's not the best looking game in the world and putting it on high detail isn't all that great. Playing it as fast as possible is best for a multiplayer game IMO.

Also why is it that a nvidia 6600 AGP 256MB is slow than a nvidia 6600 AGP 128MB?

ive no idea why its slower but the 6600 will seem real slow in 6 months, your better of paying the extra for a 6800.

are they both the same manufactures?, some time companies add the extra 128 to make it seam more appalling, but the other features are lower.

I have a 6600GT and i can only run on low... might be the fact i only have a 1.6ghz cpu tho

i happen to think bf2 looks stunning on ultra detail with aa and af running, high quality textures for the most part and very nice shadows not to mention the animations. ok it aint as pretty as lost coast or maybe quake 4 but its still impressive.
