Here's exactly how we calculate the rating score.
100% of Score/Min 50% of your kill to death ratio Small arms Accuracy as a decimal, doubled, so 24% = 0.48 0.1 per rank, bonus and your percentage of medals bonuses are; 3 x gold percentage as a decimal (so 10% = 0.10 x 3 = 0.30 bonus) 2x Silver as above 1x Bronze as above
I'm thinking of making a modification to the rating as as the reward infantry play as it's clearly much harder to get good scors on foot.
So, you'll get the percentage of infantry kills you have x score/min insated of 100% score/min.
For example;
Should you have score/min of 2.00 and 75% of your kills are small arms/infantry kills, you'd get 1.50 and not 2.00 as currently. However, if 95% of your kills are in tanks, then you'd only get 5% of your score/min. Might be a bit harsh though.
Accuracy doesn't get a big enough bonus either I think.
Comments? Remember rating is just a bit of fun, it's a simplistic attempt to compare people who have different playing styles, nothing more.

Its tricky because... - weighing Score/Min too high is unfair on snipers or people that play more cautiously - weighing accuracy too high is unfair on people with inaccurate weapons, people that play with SMG - weighing medals too high could intern reward people that play on easy servers
I know you could say the opposite about the above but I guess thats what getting the right weighting is all about.
Thoughts... add Score x 0.00005,, Score/min x 0.75.. and maybe reduce medals a little
