Ok, anyone else having isssues with ther demo?
I can't keep it running more than 10 minutes, mostly it crashes to desktop, but I also get a fair few blue screens, most seem video related but I haven't ruled out it being the Audigy2.
Spec...
Athlon64 3500+ 6800GT AGP Audigy 2 ZS MSI Neo2 Mobo 1GB Crucial Ballistix ram
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

have you OCed ur ram at all. Cause I found my crashes that I'd previously had were down to the ram getting hot. A Fan on the dimms sorted that. I do find mine crashes in the multiplayer server screen a fair bit. Not sure why.

Ram is runnning at all auto timings, i've also tried it underclocked.
Have also flashed video card bios.
Have tried 3 different video driver sets.
And 3 Audigy driver sets, including the beta that was brought out for Doom3.
Tonight I will try the onboard audio with the augiy removed.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Stick to the nvidia drivers that come with it so you know that shouldnt be the problem. Best bet is browse the totalbf2 forums probably, see if anyone else has the same symptoms.

Only problem ive had is with the game server browser, its locked up on that screen once.
Its a pity the budget for the ingame browser was less than £5.

Found this little tweak guide, it has a few console commands, explains how to get rid of the 12 minute timer if you aint already done so, and how to increase the number of bots in sp. And 1 or 2 other things. BF2 Tweak Guide

Relaxing memory timings has done the job, dropped it back to 2.5.3.3.9 2T @ 2.65 volts and bingo, not one crash.
Not impressed though, this ram is rated 2.2.2.8 1T @ 400mhz with 2.8 volts

well m8 this game loves ALLOT of ram, so to be fair 512 really is pushing it, i can imagine that making it lag and stutter to hell. And it isnt like your cpu or g card can take up all the slack, soz m8y its just one of them games that likes a beast of a pc imo.
