My lovely pair of £6 headphones (headset mic/headphones) seem to be on the way out *Ahh the pain!*
So i was wondering if you could give me any reccomendations, oh btw im a poor student! Damnit these headphones have lasted me so long and so well! Its the fecking wire that always goes for me, never the mic...Always the wires!!

Indeed it is always the wires. I'm a lover of Sennheiser headphones. I use HD250 Linear II at the moment. Very nice studio headphones. I've heard the sennheisers with built in mic are quite good. Can't remember what the model number is tho. I know lots of people use plantronics, but i can't vouch for their quality

I had an old set of plantronics and now have the plantronics Audio 90 and have no complaints. Without trying loads of headsets its real hard to say which is the 'best'. I dont think you would be dissapointed with the Audio 90's. I thought in the last few months a review site looked at a roundup of headsets but after a google I cant find it at the moment.

hmm quite pricey! I might go for the buy cheap buy twice options, although i had these ones for quite a while and they been alright!
Hmm need some kind of stopping mechanism for the wires! I thought i looked after these quite well :/

Audio 90's are £25 inc vat which aint that much for a good set of headphones.. anything cheaper and they'll either be uncomfortable or the older style - ie the ear pieces are just pads on your ears rather than surrounding your ears.. its just personal preference really. The cheaper plantronics are 15-20 quid, as you'll see on scrappys link.
