I've spent a fair bit of time at my freinds since Friday, organising a weekend away in August, since only the three of the 8 people have any decent outdoors experience, or equipment we decided that its just a weekend of wild camping (wild meaning not at a campsite) in Swaledale (the area of rocky/hilly places between the A1 and M6 in north Yorkshire) for now... As these things tend to happen I just found that my tent has a bad case of mildew and has rotted in places (maybe I shouldn't have forgotten to aire it), my 4season sleeping bag is missing and my 65l rucksack was chewed to bits by the dog (YAY). Fortunately I needed a new lighter Tent anyway so I can carry it around when I go off on the bike (apparently we're probably off to Devon in December (ooh-arr snow)), so methinks a Vango Tempest 300 along with a new 4season bag and 60+10 Sherpa rucksack should do the trick =D... Deffo beats my Bivibag+jungle dosbag for warmth and comfort. Newho I'll be online tomorrow, got some o/s maps to go over to pick out likely pitch sites, and plot 12fig gr's for.
