I turned a few settings to low and it started running great again. I think it was the one which controls fog and volumetric effects which caused the issues
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Well I finished it last night & would agree with most in that it was a wonderful game . Have to say this though peeps ... thought Gears of War (PC) was better , I like the co-op mode , the story was more compelling , awards give better replay value , voice acting was better .
Dont get me wrong I am sure there is lots of replay value to this game but the bugs & the fact EA did the old lets release the game in a crap state & then patch it later is inexcusable on a title which is first & foremost a single player game where the story flow is King.
Even multi player mode is a nightmare to get into , I still to this day cannot get my GameSpy account to log me in ...
Shame really because the last two comments are what placed it behind GoW for me .

I thought Crysis was utter tosh, COD 4 is a good game and looks real purdee an all but it aint no original cod.
GOW was superb on 360, not tried it on pc.

I have one big problem with Crysis. It's absolutely brilliant at the start when it's all sandboxy and you're creeping through the undergrowth but when the frozen shit kicks off it just becomes any other shooter. The second bit is good FPS action, but it's not why I bought the game.

thats jsut how i feel, the first 1/2 is sweet but after and including the anti-grav level it didn't do it for me, the end bosses rectified that somewhat as they were awesome.

My brother-in-law's got this machine, runs everything on "Very High" but the game still looks shoddy. It runs fine, good FPS, but the game looks no where near as nice as some of the screenshots I've seen. I've heard of "Ultra High" settings but none of the configs I've tried seem to make it look any better. Very bizarre.
