I would suggest everyone take a look at www.cod-nation.com and the clipping article they have going on over there.

had a look at the dawnville one last night and some of the clipping is shocking

Yeah its terrible, I just did brecourt with penn.. you can use the bug all over the place. Really makes cod look like a joke but at least most of them are quite obvious, is the subtle ones that are the problem. I mean if you see a gun going through a wall and shooting you its pretty easy to know you are getting clipped its some of the less obvious, long range shots that worry me. How can you complain in an offical if you dont even realise you have been clipped? :/

Not to sure with most of them, and for startes i know i wouldnt be able to spot a clipper from range.

is all clipping done while prone btw ?

As far as i know yeah.. usually involves proning while on the edge of a wall, leaving you looking through it. I dont think penn has posted his brecourt article yet but basically you can prove in all of the low-sided trenches and on those ruins by the cows. :/ most are pretty obvious though luckily.

Basically it's a bug on maps which lamers/cheats exploit.

People look/shoot through the corners of walls and stuff. They can see/shoot you, you can see them, but not shoot them. Your bullets hit the wall.

Well, most probably no one knew how to fix it. Only things i could suggest are uninstalling and reinstalling your gfx drivers, if that makes no difference reinstall windows at some point. GFX Lag, by which I assume you mean drops in FPS rather than lag, could be caused by something being handled badly by your graphics card. Such as smoke, drivers would be the fix here. The other thing to keep in mind is unrelated apps like virus scanners or other resident programs kicking in and taking CPU load away from CoD.
