and 2142 is excellent, was never a massive fan of PRM, was always ultra laggy for me

Its released in fiscal 2008.. which runs from april 2007 to march 2008, so it could be released this May.

That's cause the only time you played it was on that laggy bugged jungle map Craig 2142 is ok - it's shite compared to what BF2 was though - the battles just seem condensed down on most maps and it's less about sneaking behind enemy lines and more about just shooting downrange - or at least that's how it felt whenever I tried it (which wasn't a whole bunch) It just doesn't feel open and well.. battlefield like.. to me. That and the textures look dull as anything - all brown and grey etc.

In my mind PRM will be miles ahead of it - I don't like the lazertag sounding battles either - peow peow death by lazers

You need to play some of the different maps in 2142, I love it tbh.

I have played all the maps in it - I just haven't played them a lot. There are some good things but nothing that couldn't have been added to BF2 with a little patch.. like the squad spotting etc.

I'd still pick PRM because it feels like a different game instead of re-skins and models. If BF2 hadn't come first then no doubt i'd pay more attention to 2142 as a proper game but in my eyes it's still a mod and PRM is the king of the BF2 mods at the moment.
