Can anyone clarify for me what exactly a roadkill is? I have been trying for my Veterans Transport badge. Is it destroying another land vehicle or just kills while in a transport. Whether you shoot a guy or run him over.. thanx for the help!

If it is destroying a vehicle.. any hints on where to shoot? ie. tires, engine, driver? I know tanks are treads.

Treads on the tanks is the worst place to shoot because of the messed up hitboxes on them (that's why tanks take stupid damage from driving over rough terrain) if you shoot for the traick it will sometimes go right through. There's evidence of this on some sites and it was put to EA in a Q&A.

The best place to shoot a tank is from above on the turret, in the back square on, or under the gun tube on the turret for max damage.

The evidence can be seen here and here

You can see the abrams tracks will be less likely to take a rocket thank the others ingame.

This has been acknowldged by EA in their interviews.

TotalBF2.com: We noticed an issue on maps with rough terrain. We have found a problem with the invisible collision mesh on some vehicles, the most noticeable being the M1A1 as illustrated here verses the T90 model seen here. What happens is they take an EXTREME amount of damage when they hit the rough terrain, so much more than the other it is a HUGE disadvantage.

Armando: Yes, we are aware of this. The issue isn't as straight forward as you might expect. Altering the collision creates other issues. We need to find a solution that fixes the problem without creating another in its wake.

A "roadkill" I believe is just for you driving over someone while int hat vehicle.. hence you can get roadkills in planes and choppers (when taking off) etc.

no you get road kills if you swoop low over the Aircraft carrier decks (have to be 600+ speed)

if you're in a jet and you bomb a tank ... and a guy next to the tank gets killed not by your bombs but by the blast of the tank ... well he's probably a roadkill
