So what do you guys think? Have to say I'm quite impressed, being a fan of CoD1 I was keeping an eye on CoD2 but thats about it. After playing the demo I'm really looking forward to it now. The demo seemed to have a similar feel to CoD1, infact it almost seemed like an update rather than a whole new game. The graphics are much better but not exactly stunning and the hud, menus look very similar to CoD1.

I'd agree, it's not as good as I'd hoped, (yet?), but still very much worth a purchase.

I hate the style of gameplay where you sit at one position and shoot a few people then move onto the next 'zone'. It feels like timecrisis on the playstation, only without the cool gun to shoot stuff with It's nearly impossible to die, you have to stand there for like 3 minutes absorbing bullets, and even then you can duck and it magically regenerates your health. The easiest way to die is to not run from a grenade or to stand there getting hit around the head by an enemy soldiers gun. The smoke effects are very nice, and some of the chatter from teammates is cool, but to me the animations look exactly the same as COD1, the way people take cover etc. It could just be a modded graphics engine that some public members created for all I can see. I'll be sticking to BF2's open environments and freedom to do anything you want.

It's not representative of MP gameplay, there it's pretty much 1 bullet, 1 death from the larger rifles and 2-3 or so from sub machine guns

That may be, but as the single player demo that it is, it didn't appeal to me one bit.

I wasn't blown away either tbh, but CoD was a great SP game and great fun MP.
