I dont think the booster pakcs have split the community much at all, I bet theres hardly any people that just play AF or EF.

I agree they have made the game worse in some aspects but they have also made it much better in others. Ill be getting 2142 but QW does look better.

That's half our point though, if they were free people would make use of them. The people that have paid for them would have people to play against instead of sitting in empty servers, and the community would be all together sharing the same places to play.

I shall be playing both too, without doubt.

Quake Wars looks like the game to play indeed. I've always said i'll play the demo of 2142 and be open minded, but from these videos, as i said in my original post - i'm not impressed.

It's up to EA to prove me wrong!

the chances are i will be playing both but im looking forward to QW soooo much more.

the only thing worrying me about QW is the performance. Q4 and Prey had quite a few weird FPS bugs for some users.

Doom 3 and Quake 4 ran amazing for me but Prey ran a bit shit

It is still using the D3 engine (but highly modded) right?

Hmm dunno i've always found the D3 engine to be quite stable

yeah, me too until Prey came out.

SLi doesn't work with Prey unless you rename the exe to doom3.exe O_o
