The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Review
The Elder Scrolls IV is a fine addition to the series and is frankly awesome in many ways, it's the sort of game that will even hook people in who normally hate rpg's, infact it was the previous title (Morrowind) that got me into rpg's in the first place. Oblivion offers superb value for money, well over 50 hours to find all of the side quests and complete them.

That was a great review Made me laugh aswel lol. Shame about it being a bit buggy in places and I can't run it at high quality but other than that the game's fantastic.

thx i really liked it, and its one of those games that can get you into the genre like half life and doom did for fps games.

good review, but i'd like to add that the game runs remarkably well on nin-uber PCs too. Also the strength of the PC version also lies with the construction kit, which kinda negates the bad point of paying for extra content. There will in time be hundreds of high quality fan made mods (there are already some crackers being developed, like a mod where Kvatch gets rebuilt over the course of the game)

I am also an addict. I catch myself again and again playing the game well after my bedtime and go to work groggy from the previous nights adventure.

I have to add one more badpoint. Although all the characters have a voice, the dialogue is *extremely cheesy* (to say the least), and the accents are *horribly* American (which feels *very* out of place in a medieval-type world (except for Sean Bean and the other celebs).

I have to say that it kills the atmosphere in the towns - I actually avoid doing the city quests for this reason (It was the same in Morrowind).

And one more goodpoint - the traps in the super-spooky 'Ayelid ruins' are great. Probably the coolest traps ever since Prince of Persia.
