Xbox 360 Impressions
Xbox Live is a big part of the 360, MS have really taken the strengths of a PC with broadband and carried that over to a console and given it a snazzy interface. You could be playing music directly off your mp3 player, then while playing a game change the audio track, send a few messages to your friends and resume your game.

I've treid one of these out in the shops with PGR3. It seemed ok, but didnt' make me think omg i must have one of these!!!! But in the end its titles that sell consoles in fairness. GTS:SA managed to sell alot fo the new PS2 slim consoles. If MS want this console to go down as being one of the greats then it needs titles, new original stuff not just rehased old stuff, u can get them on any platform.

I wouldn't say no, the games are going to arrive sooner or later. Just read about someone buying the 360 from Game - charged £650 as it was a bundle - no other choice. Nice.

Very good review Toma .
Sent m8 you can use these or any other consoles with LDC / Plasma TV's no probs I must admit though I still have a hang up about FPS on consoles. When I decide on a console it will to keep I will base the decision upon many factors, modability being one , quality of the software titles , online play , multimedia capabilities , performance vs. my PC's etc.

Quality review m8, actual information that is useful to potential consumers as opposed to over hyped marketing nonsense or jealous fanboy propaganda. Just one query though. I own a 32inch widescreen television that supports 50 and 60 hz that I use for my ps2. Does that put it in the HDTV bracket or are HDTV's 100hz, plasma or LDC only? Just want to know because I have heard that not owning an HDTV means it is hard to differentiate between current xbox visuals and 360 visuals ie. the graphics have less of a wow factor and are just amazing and not super-duper-wet -my-pants amazing.

the HZ thing isn't really anything to do with HD or otherwise. Your widescreen TV will support a res of 480p/480i I think. The smallest HD res is 720p (720px high) with the highest having 1080px high and that's more than 4 times the pixels of an SD tv

Hi there, welcome to the site. To comment on the second part of what you said, they naturally will have less of a wow factor on a standard def. TV but there is a clear step on from the original xbox. Although these first generation titles vary on how much of a step forward they are. Try looking at this article, none of the screenshots are HD but if you look at the differences in detail I dont think you'd want to go back.
