FEAR 2 Project Origin ReviewThe weapons on offer range from the standard to the extreme. Though Becket starts out with the usual pistol and machine gun, these quickly become redundant when compared to the armoury of advance weaponry up for grabs, though the laser and futuristic napalm cannon might be seen as a little over the top.

However, the melee attacks so popular from the first FEAR also make a return, and there really is no better feeling than taking out two running Replica Soldiers with a flying kick in slow motion.

Aye not too sure on a couple of the points made, the graphics seemed like normal fare for fps games of recent and from what I remember of the original compared to what I've played so far it has felt pretty similar in style. I've played a couple hours and it defo has the scare factor, some seriously creepy stuff.

Quite enjoying it myself, I'm playing it on the PC so I don't know if the graphics vary much?

Played it on the PS3, didn't notice any cartoony graphics. Infact the graphics were very impressive (with the cost of framerate it seemed).

Is there really that much of a difference between the PS3 and the 360 version? I'd expect the PS3 version to run and look worse than the 360 version considering the engine they're using.

PS. Played it on the PC too. Same graphics, higher res etc. Looks pretty ****ing slick to me.

Just picked this up for under £15 and is it me or are some of the textures really low res ?
Well not really low res, but about same quality as the original ?

I really cant get into this, its just like the first one, or at least so far bland looking levels with the same nmies all the time. The level design had better open up soon or its going back on the shelf.

Ok been playing on pc, and what I think you mean by cartoony is anime style.

At least thats how I think some of the models look.
