Sins of a Solar Empire Review
Sins of a Solar Empire ReviewBut with great power, comes great responsibility, and as your empire and fleets expand, another typical failing of the average space-strategy game rears its ugly head: micro-management. Normally, you would have to scroll in and out and deal with each fleet and planet on an individual basis, but no longer. Ironclad have come to the rescue yet again with a unique little concept called the 'Empire Tree'. With this handy tool-tip, you can select one end of your empire whilst staying in another. It also allows you to control fleets, planets and resources using a universal control panel. Micro-management has never been so easy, and coupled with an impressive zoom feature you'll feel almost like you're omnipotent.

Looks good this game - nice review. Might have to grab a copy of this myself, although matches lasting a few hours might cause problems. Don't seem to have much time these days.

I've been looking for a good space game, but i always want a good single player, so this might not be up to snuff. Nice review

Can you move your ships around on all 3 axis like in homeworld or is it on 2 axis?

A nice review. Just a minor correction, however, that you can pause the game and issue orders while paused (in single-player) using the Pause|Break key (which can be remapped). Multiplayer games can be paused also up to 10 times and can also be saved and loaded later.

Jammin - you can move your ships on all 3 axis (and the game will do this automatically when appropriate), though I don't recall the key....

As i see, so you can pause it.

I searched through all the key bindings, but i couldn't see it listed anywhere. There was also no mention of it in the tutorial or the Manuel, so I just assumed it wasn't there.

Had this a while, but it got annoying with 8hour epic battles. which got paused for two days until everyone one was back & ready.

Why not register and have your say?
