FIFA 08 Review
The game has been slowed down, allowing for greater time on the ball and emphasising the effectiveness of truly fast players. In addition, passes seem to have become crisper, resulting in far more detailed build-up play. And FIFA 08 demands patient play - goals are either earned with careful probing passes and territory control, or gifted through luck and error.

Nice review as allways, but I can't say I agree. It just feels......wierd, pro evo is just a far better experience imo.

PES used to be king, now all my mates who play these games say PES has lost it and FIFA has got steadily better. Not much to choose between them I understand, though most now prefer FIFA.

(I persoanlly can't stand either, bring back Sensi with Amiga joysticks!!!)

Abit hypocritical thier malis, saying im talking rubbish then spouting complete shite yourself

To say im buying pes purely because im a fanboy is actually rather insulting. Infact every year I play both PES and FIFA games and make my opinion on that title alone, who cares about previous installments.

What I will say is having played PES for MANY years, the way it goes about playing the game may have rubbed off on me and make it difficult to adjust and thus enjoy the new FIFA engine. That said licensing aside, I don't see what you find so special about this new FIFA, from playing the demo it just feels.....I dunno if scripted is the word im looking for, but the animations don't feel right for me. And as allways shooting is completely retarded, again it just doesnt feel right (or maybe feel like PES, what im used to).

I dunno mate maybe I would get on with FIFA more if I played it over and over again but I'm afraid i just dont enjoy it like i do PES (I bought FIFA 07 and pla

i dont blindingly buy pes on name, pes6 on the 360 was absolute shite, but the ps2 version was still excellent. I actually prefer fifa 07 to this years version, it just doesnt feel like football, ea r trying so hard to make it the spitting image of pes with a few pointless modes like be a pro, i just dont think they will ever quite grasp it.

Be a pro is a good concept imo, i know atleast for the madden games its the thing i enjoy the most. And aye the 360 pes6 was complete shite.
