Star Wolves
Star Wolves is more than the sum of it's parts. I guess it's a classic story of a game that doesn't really fit into any single mould. X-bow dared to be different, and while they didn't get everything right, they did produce a very good game.

Aye, it's an average RPG mixed with an average RTS with an Average space game, but altogether it just works. Strangely.

It has the staying power, which most games dont. its one of those games you will keep going back to to get a little further.
That to me means its goto be worth its money.
Damn good addictive game

I love this game! This is the first space-based RTS that has kept me coming back for more. The RPG elements have a real impact on the gameplay, and even careful selection of ships, equipment and wings can mean the difference between success and death.

Example: When fighting the Guardian fighter in one mission I kept losing my Mothership before being able to kill it. Looking closed I noticed that the bigger missiles were pushing it backwards when they hit and that was giving it longer on each pass to fire at the Mothership. By refitting with smaller SRMs I was able to bring it down (just).

In my opinion this is the best space-based RPG yet. A shame about the bad English translation, though - something to improve in a sequel?

I must admit I didn't want it to end, sure it's a little cheesy at times but it plays like a dream. If they do make a sequel, they better not ruin the gameplay.

In the precursor space mission, Kill all the precursor fighters then visit the bottom energy source, your scientists guy will find it and say you need some power sources/batteries, thye are in the top right energy source/gate, dock the scientists and park Star Wolf in the middle of the top right gate, after severl minutes he will manage to get the batteries. Then go back to the bottom gate, once they are plugged in youll end up having to do something else, but I won't spoil that for you.

Thank you Mani, but my version of the game is by the looks of it - corrupted. I did everithing by the book but it was a dead end - nothing is happening. I'm sorry to say it but this is the end of my plaing the Star-wolves. How the story goes from here? Just to know what I'm missing.
