Dark Crusade Review
My first campaign attempt saw me very slowly moving across the map, preferring to reinforce existing territories and let the other six computer players sort it out amongst themselves; I'd sit smug and mop up the last couple standing. This, as it turns out, is a foolish proposition. Winning sides will gain momentum, fielding greater resources at the start which can give a big push start to the war machine generating troops and armour.

I've heard, although you've not commented on it, that its kind of step backwards from all the stuff they put in CoH. Really would have liked to have seen Relic push DoW series to Match CoH .

Not sure they could have pushed DoW to match CoH- Company of Heroes was the exact same system as DoW but tweaked here and there to have subtlties and tactical scope. DoW is a big, beautiful blunt instrument of a game, without an ounce of subtlty in it whole armoured body, which is kind of its charm. If they'd upgraded it to have the same depth as CoH it wouldnt be such vacuous bubblegum fun.

yes I'd like to try this actually as WW2 doesn't appeal to me, but this series has high pedigree.

The AI in this game is very well developed , in the 1st two games I beat them without much trouble at insane , this bugger is killing me on normal ! Mind you I am playing Tau & they have no fixed weapons which can give you lots of breathing time while you work up guard & raid squads.
