Sid Meiers Railroads Review
After a few goes however, you get used to it and start to hold your own. Expensive commodities become the absolute grail, and players fight tooth and nail over the resources than can create these. Eventually, as players empires expand, stations and trains are put in certain cities deliberately so that it takes away profit from others, even though the train your putting in will run at a loss itself.

Choo choo! Hmm an enjoyable read for sure, but I'm just not convinced about train games! Looks good if you're a fan of the genre though

If the AI was better, I'd snap it up and I'd be playing for weeks, still tempted.

Hehehe very nice read up Dan . I get bored of these games pretty quickly. Played Transport tycoon for a bit and then just got fed up .

I have actually played a few more games online since the review, so its online appeal at least is there.

Dan points out on of my RTS pet hates - illogical zoom. A lot of games like Railroads! would be a hell of a lot more system friendly if they didn't include the pointless feature of being able to zoom in until you can count the pocket change of one of your passengers. Its ammusing sometimes, but usually only the once. Nice review - looks a little dry for me. (try Anno)
