Gothic 3 Review
You'll have to fight your way through faction based quests and gain experience through good old monster bashing, all the while tailoring your free-form class to your play style. Sound familiar? There's no denying that Gothic 3 treads much of the same ground as Oblivion, right down to an engine capable of sumptuous visuals. This of course, is no bad thing.

Weighty RPG? Like what? Oblivion?
I could stop reading there
"Being an RPG you can expect to upgrade your skills and attacks across all areas."
Cause this is what RPG are all about, really...
"It's often not clear what you can and can't take freely "
If you can't figure it by yourself... But I guess you're a cleptomaniac or something, since I'm sure you take everithing that don't turn your hand red...

I almost crackep up at this
"Much like a fake Rolex from abroad, onlookers will be impressed at the mere sight of Gothic 3, tricked into believing that they're looking at a high-class, polished product. No matter how well it tells the time though, you'll always know it's not the real deal. "
... Continue (damn post lenght limit)

This is really the cherry on the top, considering that the reviewer seems to consider Oblivion a weighty RPG, but I guess that nowadays RPG stands only for Rocket Propelled Grenades...

On a side note: is asking too much having a reviewer that acutally played at least ONE of the game in the series before posting a c###pload of s##t like that?

Why would anyone crack up at that?

I don't see why you have to play the previous games when this game is not an expansion. It's a standalone product and thus should be reviewed as such. Just because previous games might have been amazing it doesn't mean that it should be condsidered amazing just because it continues in the series. I've not played this game so i'm just commenting on what you've posted but I also consider Oblivion a weighty RPG, if it's not an RPG what is it ?

7/10 is a good score.
Oblivion is a comparable game, and in my opinion, much better.
Current high standards would be KOTOR, Oblivion, NWN and in my eyes, Baldurs Gate 2 still.
The review reflects all of this, feel free to discuss it further though, but refrain from childish insults.

Dunno, a Medioeval Shooter?

The OC of NWN isn't much different than, let say Diablo II, but I hope your referring to the few RP servers, and regard Oblivion, just read above

Just because people choose not to actively RP their RPGs does not mean they are playing them wrong.

Personally, if I were the developer, I wouldn't be disappointed with a score of 7. Though I can't really comment on this game as it's not really my bag. Oblivion lasted a couple of hours for me before I got bored

After a few hours playing this game i got bored.
Some things are just dumb and stupid , just imagine , your character must stop to drink a healing potion, he cant run and drink at the same time?!?
He also cant walk backwards and fight at the same time (useful when retreating!), so very dumb!!!
Most times wolfs will kill you with just a few blows , even when your character is in level 4.
JoWood...why sould i waste 60 hours of my life playing this crap , dont you guys think i have better things to do?
Plus...If you guys cant make it NEW an NICE just try to copy it from others.
