Joint Task Force Review
The Media Relations element is another fine example of Sierra's RTS baby missing the mark. The revolution may not be televised, but these days war most certainly is, and adding this element into the game is innovative and could have worked really well. Unfortunately, you will usually find yourself obligated to engage in side-missions to maintain your image which are rarely taxing but nearly always tedious.

One of your bullet points is "All style and little substance," which is exactly the same criticism I'd level at this review. You spend almost two paragraphs discussing the game's eschewal of the conventional RTS resource model - it's not that big a deal. As you say, the media relations mechanic is a gimmick, so why spend so much time discussing it? You seem to try too hard to work similes and metaphors into your prose; why not just concentrate on the game? You missed out several fundamental aspects, such as sound and multiplayer. Please, for your next article, focus more on being informative instead of trying to entertain.

Damning critacisim indeed - I shall be sure in future to be significantly more austere and factual.

I purchased the game a few days ago and installed the patch, on a decent system or better I have had no issues, the load times have been pretty short and as for the standard liberal comment on his review "Merchants of Death" I think that was a silly reference to make. Sure the game is notthing new but it is fun looks and play well.
